The Boston Red Sox have had a little bit of bad luck to start the season.
Though they sit above the .500 mark after their 8-6 win on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles, they are at the bottom of the ever-competitive American League East division.
But things aren’t all gloom and doom in Boston.
In fact, their offense has performed quite well, even with Trevor Story out and Xander Bogaerts gone.
Through their first 25 games of the season, the Red Sox have scored a grand total of 144 runs.
According to ESPN, this is the most they have scored through their first 25 games since they scored 147 in the first 25 games of the 2003 season.

In 2003, the Red Sox reached the postseason as a Wild Card with their stacked lineup and took the New York Yankees the full seven games in the ALCS before bowing out on Aaron Boone’s walk-off home run.
If that’s any indication, then the Red Sox could be headed for some more success 20 years later.
The offense is certainly clicking and is helping them win some key games.
Boston could also soon move out of last place in the AL East.
They sit only a half-game behind the Yankees for fourth place in the division and could leapfrog New York soon.
Reese McGuire, Christian Arroyo, and Jarren Duran led the way for Boston against the Orioles on Tuesday night.
The Red Sox may be down a few pieces from last season, but the bats are producing and firing on all cylinders.
