The Philadelphia Phillies are not just the reigning National League champions, but they also do a lot of great work for the community.

And the most recent addition to their team is someone that every fan will love.

The Phillies teamed up with Team Foster and Warrior Canine Connection to add a service dog to their family.

His name is Major, and he is a good boy.

He will be trained by the Phillies before being placed with a veteran in need of a service dog.

Many fans go to the games to see the Phillie Phanatic.

Now it seems like Major will be taking some of his spotlight.

Dogs and baseball are a perfect match.

We have seen some minor league teams that allow bat dogs, and every team should be able to have one.

Having dogs in the dugout can help keep the players loose, and would be fan favorites.

The Phillies brought Major to Citizens Bank Park and gave him a tour of the facility.

You can tell he is happy to be a part of the Phillies family.

He should be given all the treats, and the Phillies would be wise to create merchandise with his face on it.

It would be cool if every Major League team joined this initiative as well.

The Phillies are doing it for a good cause, and Major might be many fans’ favorite “player”.
