Skip Bayless Slams Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 1 Key Problem

The Milwaukee Bucks had a chance to extend their first-round series vs. the Miami Heat, and they just let it slip right through their hands.

And while Jimmy Butler and the Heat deserve a lot of credit, there should also be some finger-pointing when it comes to why the Bucks crumbled the way they did.

For Skip Bayless, it all comes down to Giannis Antetokounmpo missing 13 free throws.

Per Skip, Giannis lacks that dominant instinct and competitive mentality that makes great players great.

Of course, he knows Giannis is a superstar and gives him his flowers as such, but he believes he’s just too likable, and there’s something missing in his psyche.

Skip argues that he would’ve given Giannis a pass if he could never make his free throws, but he’s actually shown that he’s capable of knocking them down every now and then.

Even so, it’s not like Giannis has always been automatic from the charity stripe, so maybe we should give him a pass.

He had one of the all-time greatest performances to close out the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals just two years ago, and he’s been as dominant as most NBA legends when he’s been at his best.

The Heat outplayed, outhustled, outcoached, and outsmarted the Bucks; it happens.

Giannis’ freebies should be taken into consideration when discussing the loss, but blaming him for this shortcoming when he wasn’t even healthy for the most part of the series is just unfair.
