The Philadelphia Eagles selected Jalen Carter with the No. 9 pick in the NFL Draft, after moving up one spot.

Carter was a hot target for the Eagles during the pre-draft process, and now, those rumors have come to fruition.

As Mike Florio has recently revealed, the Eagles may have tipped their hand during the draft, forcing them to trade up to No. 9.

Regardless of the methodology that was used to get there, the Eagles appear to be happy with both of their first-round selections.

After taking Carter at No. 9, they added another massive piece to their defense, selecting Nolan Smith with the No. 30 selection.

Carter and Smith both attended the University of Georgia, adding two more Bulldogs to the Eagles’ current roster.

The rich get richer, so they say, given the current caliber of athletes that are already on the roster.

Last season, the Eagles had one of the best defenses in the league, and are now joined by two highly-regarded prospects.

Will Carter and Smith be able to make a similar impact on the NFL that they did in college?

They are both two-time NCAA champions and will bring winning mindsets to an organization that is coming off a Super Bowl appearance.

The Eagles are fresh off of signing Jalen Hurts to a long-term extension and will look to compete in the NFC for the foreseeable future.

With several new pieces on the roster, the Eagles look to 2023 with newfound aspirations, trying to achieve what they couldn’t last year.
