The Los Angeles Clippers failed to reach expectations again in 2023.
They entered the season as one of the favorites to win the championship.
But it seems like what can go wrong for the Clippers will go wrong.
This time it was injuries that derailed their year.
The Clippers entered the playoffs as the fifth seed in the Western Conference and had to play the Suns in the first round.
But the Clippers would have to play their first series without Paul George.
The All-Star suffered a knee injury at the end of the regular season that held him out of the playoffs.
George talked on his podcast “Podcast P” about how difficult these past few seasons have been.

Every year the Clippers have championship aspirations and something seems to get in the way.
Not only did George miss the entire first-round series, but Kawhi Leonard could not play after Game 2.
It is hard to compete in the playoffs when your two best players miss games.
That is the problem the Clippers have run into over the past few seasons.
One of the problems for the Clippers is that their roster is older.
With most older players, injuries occur at a more frequent rate.
That is not a good sign for a team that seems to get injured at the worst time of the year every season.
The Clippers will once again have championship aspirations next year, but none of it will matter if they do not stay healthy.
