The Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night and Grant Williams was part of their victory.
Even though he didn’t score any points for the team, he was an important factor in their defensive plans and got 4 defensive rebounds.
He also helped the team’s chemistry, which is something he’s been doing all season long.
After the game, Jaylen Brown told the press about the way that Williams helps the Celtics.
“Grant has been great, you know. Grant has been humble all year long,” Brown said.
“He’s a tremendous part of our team. We’ve challenged him in different ways. His maturity level, the ability to play his role, the ability to raise his level, and get stops and do what is needed to be done…you can’t ask for nothing better than that. Grant is a true professional,” he added.

Brown commented on how Williams has been willing to do whatever it takes to make his team win.
He has been very flexible when it comes to the minutes he spends on the floor.
As noted by Brown, Williams didn’t play much in the first round of the playoffs but has been called upon more during the semifinals.
Williams isn’t the most productive player when it comes to points (8.1 per game in 2022-23) but he is very good when it comes to getting stops and pushing back against opponents.
There are times that he gets a little hot-headed and is driven by his emotions.
But Brown said that Williams has been sensational despite this and has pushed through that part of his personality.
This is Williams’ third season with the Celtics and perhaps his most productive yet.
No matter what his team needs, Williams wants to deliver it.
