The Cincinnati Bengals are one of the most talented young teams in the NFL today, with many believing that it might be only a matter of time before the franchise wins it all with a healthy Joe Burrow under center.
Although the Bengals came just short of the Super Bowl, with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs getting the best of them in the AFC Championship Game, Cincinnati will be a team to watch in 2023 with Burrow looking to take another step toward his goal.
With Burrow gearing up for training camp, the superstar quarterback, who is in line for a major payday after Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts got paid recently, debuted a new look on the team’s Twitter account via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

As expected, Burrow sporting a headband immediately prompted fans to pour in with jokes that he’s trying to be like Mahomes.
No matter what Burrow does, the comparisons to Mahomes will follow, and until he wins a Super Bowl or two, that comparison will always tilt in favor of the Chiefs superstar, especially with him coming off his second title.
It’ll be interesting to see if Burrow and the Bengals can take another step toward winning a Super Bowl title in 2023, as they will be expected to be a heavyweight in the AFC once again.
Along with high expectations heading into the 2023 campaign, the Bengals will likely get to work on signing Burrow to a lucrative contract extension after picking up his fifth-year option.
