The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not expected to do much in the 2023 season.

A large reason for that is the retirement of Tom Brady.

The Bucs put all their eggs in Brady’s basket and let him lead their franchise as long as he wanted.

Well, his retirement left the Bucs in a bad spot at quarterback.

The franchise did not have a contingency after Brady, so they had to sign Baker Mayfield as a rental.

But that was not the only move the Bucs made this offseason.

They also added a few depth pieces to complete their roster.

According to the Bucs’ Twitter account, the team has signed WR David Moore, OLB Markees Watts, and S Kedrick Whitehead.

The most interesting name on this list is Moore.

He was a member of the Seattle Seahawks when current Bucs offensive coordinator Dave Canales was an assistant.

His best season came in 2020 when he caught 35 passes for 417 yards and six touchdowns.

Tampa Bay is not a team in need of receiver help, but Moore is also capable of filling a role on special teams.

Not much can be expected from the Bucs until they find their quarterback of the future.

Mayfield is more than likely just a one-year stopgap, while Kyle Trask is also an interesting option.

The NFC South is up for the taking in 2023.

There is nothing but question marks for each team in the division.

Whoever gets the most consistent QB play will probably give that team the edge.
