The St. Louis Cardinals busted out for seven runs at Coors Field on Wednesday as they picked up a huge series win over the Colorado Rockies.

After a tough loss in the series opener, the Cardinals got back on track with a come-from-behind win on Tuesday night.

They found themselves in an early 1-0 hole on Wednesday as well.

Fortunately, they weren’t down for long.

With two outs and nobody on, Tyler O’Neill stepped to the plate.

The slugger had not hit a home run since Opening Day, but on a 2-0 fastball from Jose Urena, O’Neill took a big cut and sent one flying out to center field.

That home run tied the game for the Cardinals and was the first of three homers hit by St. Louis in the series finale.

Last week, O’Neill and manager Oli Marmol found themselves at odds thanks to a public dispute over the former’s effort when trying to score from second base on a hit by Brendan Donovan.

Fortunately for the Cardinals, it appears that both Marmol and O’Neill have set aside their differences and moved past this issue.

The Cardinals bats had been quiet over the last week.

But after waking up late on Tuesday, the bats were on full display once again as the Cards battled it out with the Rockies and ultimately secured the series win.

O’Neill had two hits on Wednesday and improved his batting average on the season to .282.

Nolan Arenado and Nolan Gorman hit the other two home runs for St. Louis.
