The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to put the devastating Super Bowl loss behind them.
But, knowing how they lost is tough to get over.
Cornerback James Bradberry committed a holding penalty on JuJu Smith-Schuster which allowed the Chiefs to set up a game-winning field goal.
Now, Bradberry has spoken out about his thoughts on that play.
He went on Darius Slay’s podcast to discuss what had happened.
According to The Volume, Bradberry said “I would have rather them scored than commit that foul.”
“Looking back on it, I would have rather them scored then commit that foul”

Bradberry mentioned how he does not plan on having that happen again.
He hopes to learn from his mistake and be much better this season because of it.
Slay even proceeded to mention that defensive backs “hold every play.”
So it is just a matter of if the refs want to make the call or not.
Playing defensive back is one of the toughest jobs in the NFL.
Having to cover some of the best athletes in the world makes it such a challenge.
So most defensive backs try to look for any small advantage they can get.
When it comes to that play in the Super Bowl, at least Bradberry owns up to it.
He knows he committed the foul, and he got caught.
It will be interesting to see how the Eagles play in 2023.
Many teams in the past have suffered from a “Super Bowl hangover.”
With the way their season ended, it would not be a surprise to see them take a step back in 2023.
