The 2023 season has been very inconsistent for the San Francisco Giants.
After finishing 81-81 last season and missing the postseason, the Giants have struggled to remain on a consistent pace this season.
They own a record of 19-23, but are only two games back in the NL Wild Card race.
One player in particular has been putting together a strong season.
Veteran outfielder and first baseman LaMonte Wade Jr. has been hitting at the top of the lineup for the Giants.
So far this season, the slugger has put up some impressive numbers.

Wade has a .427 on-base percentage, which is fifth in all of baseball among qualified players.
His 18.6% walk rate is second among qualifiers in all of baseball.
He also a chase rate of 15.4%.
That rate leads all of baseball among qualifiers.
In addition to those numbers, Wade is hitting for a .278 average and has hit seven home runs.
He also has driven in 15 runs, stolen a base, posted a slugging percentage of .513, and an OPS of .948.
Needless to say, Wade is having a solid season at the plate for the Giants.
The slugger made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Minnesota Twins and joined the Giants in 2021.
His knack for late-game heroics earned him the nickname “Late-night LaMonte.”
After a tough 2022 season, Wade appears to have returned to his 2021 form, hitting for more power and a higher average, while also continuing to get on base at a high clip.
