The Oakland Athletics are not expected to reside in Oakland much longer.
The city recently lost the Oakland Raiders to Las Vegas, and now the same thing is expected to happen with the A’s.
But there seem to be a few issues with the potential A’s move to Las Vegas.
According to Damon Amendolara, the A’s do not have a plan for a new stadium and the public money is dropping.
Nevada lawmakers have dropped the public money for the A’s from $500M ➡️ $395M ➡️ $195M. The A’s want to build a $1.5B ballpark. Part of the problem is the A’s have presented no cogent plan.
MLB step in and stop this con. Make John Fisher sell the team. He’s a disaster.

The Nevada lawmakers are not willing to give the full $395 million the team is looking for to build the new stadium.
The A’s are looking to get as much money as possible from taxpayers.
Yet, the public money dropping is not a good sign.
Not only do the A’s need to relocate but Major League Baseball needs it as well.
Currently, the A’s are drawing no fans in Oakland.
They have the lowest attendance in the league by a wide margin.
Inexplicably, the A’s are averaging 8,695 in attendance per game.
That is a number you would see in the minor leagues.
Also, their stadium and facilities are one of the worst in MLB.
A’s owner John Fisher has been under fire from many fans that are hoping he sells the team.
So the current A’s are a poor combination of bad on and off the field.
The league needs to see the A’s moved as a new stadium and new city will bring excitement to the team.
It will be interesting to see what the MLB can do to step in and help facilitate this move.
