The Baltimore Ravens have been in the headlines lately, and primarily for all the wrong reasons, as the situation with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson has hit a boiling point regarding the relationship between the two sides.

The team may have taken a step in the right direction toward repairing that relationship with Jackson as a result of signing superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal.

Although there’s been no news as to whether the contract talks have improved after the signing of Beckham, the team seems to actively be trying to improve the offense,

Baltimore was reportedly in trade talks to acquire Courtland Sutton from the Denver Broncos, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic via Dov Kleiman.

Rumors have been swirling for quite some time about the Broncos potentially moving Sutton or Jerry Jeudy, but nothing has come to fruition, and the team may be ready to stick with the two talented wide receivers following the hiring of new head coach Sean Payton.

As for the Ravens, the team quickly pivoted to Beckham and were willing to shell out the cash to get him as he’ll make at least $15 million for the 2023 NFL season.

Although Sutton may have a brighter long-term future at 27 years old instead of Beckham at 30 years old, Baltimore is still in a great position if the veteran wide receiver can stay healthy moving forward.

Beckham is still an incredibly talented wideout, but he’s struggled to stay healthy over the years, which will be a concern for Baltimore, but that is a risk the team is clearly willing to take.
