For much of Game 2 between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers, people were wondering what was wrong with Jamal Murray.

He scored only 10 points in the first half of the game, shooting 3-of-13 from the field and just 2-of-8 from the three-point line.

For a player who has been known as a reliable sharpshooter, this wasn’t nearly enough.

But Murray came to life in the second half of the game, especially in the fourth quarter.

According to ESPN, Murray outscored the Lakers all by himself in the final ten minutes of the game.

He posted 23 points in the final period, one more point than the entire LA roster.

He also went 6-of-7 from the field, including 4-of-5 on scorching shots from downtown.

Murray was a one-man wrecking machine and the Lakers just couldn’t keep up.

It’s usually Nikola Jokic who receives the most praise and headlines following a Nuggets game.

But on Thursday night, Murray was the MVP.

Murray’s breakout showing proves just how dangerous this Nuggets team is.

The Lakers don’t have to just worry about Jokic and his immense size and passing and rebounding abilities.

They also have to be on the lookout for Murray from the perimeter.

Of course, there are other Nuggets stars who also step up and keep the Lakers on their toes.

Murray has actually been sick lately – there was even speculation that he could miss time due to illness.

He didn’t look very sick at the end of Thursday’s game.

Instead, it was Lakers fans who felt sick watching him.

The Nuggets now have to head to Los Angeles and take on the Lakers on the road.

Murray will try to continue performing as he did in the final quarter of Thursday’s game.

If he does, this series could be just about over.
