The youth movement is on with the San Francisco Giants.

Earlier this month, they welcomed utility infielder Casey Schmitt to the big-league club.

Just over a week later, another new face made his appearance.

On Friday night, catcher Patrick Bailey made his Major League debut.

Bailey was put behind the plate in the top of the seventh inning during the Giants’ series opener against the Miami Marlins.

And when Bailey stepped out onto the field, the loyal fans in San Francisco gave the young catcher a warm hand.

To make it even sweeter, his wife and daughter were in attendance.

MLB posted a video of the moment on Twitter.

Bailey is a former first-round pick by the Giants out of North Carolina State University.

He was selected with the 13th overall pick in the 2020 MLB draft.

Three years later, Bailey got a chance to experience a truly special moment as he took the field for the first time at Oracle Park in San Francisco.

And with his wife and daughter in attendance, the moment became even sweeter.

Bailey caught the final three innings of the Giants’ opener against the Marlins and was behind the plate for the final out of the game.

San Francisco picked up their fourth straight win and improved to 21-23.

But the moment of the game was when Bailey first stepped out onto the field with his wife and daughter there to cheer him on in his Major League debut.

San Francisco won the game by a final score of 4-3.
