The Los Angeles Dodgers’ rotation depth has been tested a lot since the start of the season.
They lost Tyler Anderson to free agency, Walker Buehler started the season on the injured list while recovering from Tommy John surgery, and they recently lost Dustin May with an elbow ailment and Julio Urias with a hamstring issue.
They are always coaching and developing prospects and veterans alike to fill in when needed, though.
Given the recent rash of injuries, they have been forced to call up one of their top prospects: Bobby Miller.

The assignment at hand is certainly not an easy one.
Miller, 24, will be facing one of the top offenses in baseball: the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves lead the NL East division with a 29-17 record and are fourth in the National League in runs scored.
Miller will have to deal with MVP candidate Ronald Acuna Jr. and an army of talented hitters, ranging from Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, Michael Harris II, Austin Riley, Eddie Rosario, Marcell Ozuna, and others.
To make matters more complicated for Miller, the game will be at Truist Park, in Atlanta, where the Braves are very hard to beat.
Still, he has the talent to give his team a chance to compete.
The 5.65 ERA in 14.1 innings he has in Triple-A this year is a bit fluky, since he showed last year that he can dominate the level.
In 2022, he posted a much better 3.38 ERA in 21.1 innings in Triple-A with the Dodgers.
Miller is equipped with fantastic fastball velocity, a wipeout slider, and a usable changeup.
Control is a strength, too.
Time will tell if Miller will be up for the Braves start exclusively or if he will be given a chance to stick.
