The Seattle Seahawks have put themselves in a very good position for the future.

Not only did they look way ahead of schedule on their rebuilding process last year, but they will also get the No. 5 pick in the draft thanks to the Russell Wilson trade.

With that in mind, Seahawks legend Richard Sherman got together with Quandre Diggs to discuss what the team should do with that pick, and they both agreed that they should go all-in on Jalen Carter.

The Georgia standout was considered the best prospect in this class and could’ve even gone first overall if it wasn’t for his recent involvement in a fatal car accident.

So, if he slips, Sherman thinks there’s no way the Seahawks organization is going to let him go past them.

More than that, Sherman joked that the Seahawks aren’t going to let him leave the premises and might even buy him an apartment right next to the facility so he can focus entirely on football.

Carter’s work ethic and feel for the game have been put into doubt as of late, as well as his character.

But he’s a physical specimen with impressive athleticism at his position, and his raw power, strength, and quickness make him one of the most promising young men to come out of college recently.

Pete Carroll’s Seahawks have taken pride in their stout, physical defenses, and he comes with pedigree from an elite program like the Bulldogs, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them take a chance on him come April 27.
