The Golden State Warriors have created their dynasty behind the play of three players.
They are Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.
Each has played a significant role in their four championships, and it would be hard to imagine any of them playing for a different team.
But Thompson and Green will be looking for new contracts after this season.
It remains to be seen what the Warriors plan to do with them.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski via NBA Central, Thompson expects to receive a max contract this offseason.

Thompson has overcome so much from an injury perspective over the past few years.
This includes missing two straight seasons.

He has been awesome this season for the Warriors.
The five-time All-Star led the NBA in three-pointers this year with 301.
That was also the first time Thompson made over 300 in one season.
His jump shot is still elite, and he has shown the ability to carry the Warriors for stretches.
While all Warriors fans love Thompson, some would prefer to not see him get a max deal.

One issue for some fans is that Thompson is already 33 years old.
Any max extension will probably have him in Golden State until his late 30s.
The Warriors will have to decide if that is something they want to do.

At the end of the day, letting Thompson leave would be a mistake.
He is too important for the Warriors, and he is a vital part of their backcourt.

Thompson might not be the defender he once was, but he is still one of the best shooters in the sport.
