One of the biggest upsets in the NBA playoffs over the weekend was the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors falling to the division rival Sacramento Kings in Game 1 at the Golden 1 Center.
Despite the Warriors being one of the worst road teams in the playoffs right now, Golden State was still expected to come out on top against the Kings in Game 1, but it didn’t turn out that way.
Stephen Curry and company were able to keep up with De’Aaron Fox’s squad in Game 1, but Sacramento was relentless, leading to the upset to start this first-round playoff series.
Chris Broussard of Fox Sports gives the Kings credit for taking down the defending champions on Saturday, but he sees Golden State bouncing back and taking the series.

One of the main reasons for optimism surrounding the Warriors this season and in the postseason, in general, is the return of defensive-minded forward Andrew Wiggins.
Despite missing considerable time before this playoff series to deal with an off-the-court issue, Wiggins didn’t miss a beat in Game 1 against the Kings, as he scored 17 points and made an impact while on the floor.
If Wiggins can get more and more comfortable on the floor, the Warriors could take control of this series with a win in Game 2 in Sacramento.
The veteran forward brings scoring and another solid defender into the mix for Golden State, which could prove to be the difference in the series.
However, the Warriors’ inability to get wins on the road could be their undoing if they can’t figure out how to put it together away from San Francisco.
