Fans React To Colin Cowherd’s Comments On NBA Officiating

One thing you don’t say to Sacramento Kings fans is that NBA referees favor their franchise.

Infamous NBA referee Tim Donaghy once admitted that refs fixed Game 6 of the 2022 Western Conference Finals in favor of the Los Angeles Lakers, arguably the most heartbreaking loss in franchise history.

That’s why fans weren’t having any of Colin Cowherd’s latest take on NBA officiating.

The renowned pundit claimed that the league has always given the Kings some favorable calls, citing that officiating wasn’t fair to the Golden State Warriors.

Needless to say, NBA fans took to Twitter to put him on blast, with some even arguing that he’s biased because Draymond Green has a podcast in his network.

Whether that’s the case or not is not for us to decide, but the league hasn’t exactly been kind to the Kings over the past two decades.

One could argue that the refs did call nearly every foul instead of letting the guys play a more physical game, as often happens in the playoffs.

That led to some frustration as the Warriors got into foul trouble early, with the Kings being in the bonus for nearly 10 minutes in the third quarter, which obviously took a big toll on their chances.

Usually, refs don’t tend to be as whistle-happy in the postseason as they’re in the regular season, so maybe this is where Cowherd’s comments are coming from.
