There was a time when it seemed like Damian Lillard would never leave the Portland Trail Blazers but now the general consensus among the NBA is that he could be packing his bags.
The Blazers have just endured yet another painful season even though Lillard was putting up lights-out numbers and breaking records.
Many think that he is finally prepared to say goodbye to Portland and move on – and that the team is ready to let him go.
Chandler Parsons gave his opinion on the matter.
He joins the growing group of people who think Lillard will not be a Blazer next season.

Parsons said that Lillard has “given his all to this city” but will now find a new team that gives him a better chance at winning a championship.
He also said that this will be a “mutual breakup” because the front office knows that Lillard “deserves better” and will wish him the best with finding it.
The fact that they will receive a huge haul in a trade for Lillard will also leave a smile on their faces.
Parsons imagines a future when Lillard returns to compete against the Blazers and is met with a standing ovation.
That seems very likely because the team’s fanbase is well aware of how hard he has tried and how dedicated he’s been.
But it seems like this part of his career has run its course.
