The New York Giants should not be in the market for a new quarterback.

This offseason they gave Daniel Jones a massive four-year extension worth $160 million.

Yet, the Giants are still doing their due diligence on some of the quarterbacks in this draft class.

One name that they are having an official visit with is Tennessee quarterback Hendon Hooker.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Giants are set to meet with Hooker on Wednesday.

Hooker is expected to be picked within the first three rounds of the draft.

It does not make much sense for the Giants to use a premium pick on a backup quarterback.

Especially because they just committed to Jones being their signal caller of the future.

But, this seems like the Giants are just doing their due diligence in case Hooker falls further in the draft.

The Tennessee quarterback is coming off an ACL injury, and many teams want to find out about his recovery.

It would be a shock to see the Giants draft Hooker.

Some mock drafts have the Tennessee quarterback going in the first round, but that seems like a stretch.

Before getting injured last season, he was one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy award.

The upside is present with Hooker, but not much should be excepted out of him in his rookie year.

If Hooker can find the right situation, he could turn into a viable NFL starter by year two in the league.
