On Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves enjoyed an offensive outburst against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

The reigning National League East division champions scored eight runs and hit some big home homers in San Diego en route to a blowout victory which helped them secure a series win.

One such home run was hit by first baseman Matt Olson in the top of the ninth.

The Braves led the Friars by the score of 5-1 with two runners on base and just one out.

On a 91-mph fastball by right-hander Reiss Knehr, Olson unloaded and sent one all the way out to deep right field for a no-doubt home run.

That made it an 8-1 game.

On Twitter, MLB posted a video of the moment.

Olson joined the Braves in the spring of 2022 when negotiations with Freddie Freeman fell through.

Since then, the Braves have not skipped a beat.

He had two hits on Tuesday night and three RBI, all of which came on his home run in the ninth inning.

It was his sixth home run of the season.

With it, he bumped his RBI total up to 20 for the year, improved his OPS to 1.053, and bumped his batting average up to .296.

The Braves, who have won five consecutive NL East titles, also improved to 14-4 on the season and remained at the top of the National League, one game ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers and a game behind the Tampa Bay Rays, who have the best record in all of baseball.
