The global phenomenon that is Lars Nootbaar has not stopped growing.

In fact, the St. Louis Cardinals outfielder landed another gig recently, starring in a commercial for “Zoff Eye Performance.”

The young outfielder is well loved in St. Louis and all the way to Japan thanks to his infectious personality and the youthful energy he brings to any clubhouse.

But the phenomenon continues to grow.

In the commercial, Nootbaar is walking down the street in a ballcap and a pair of new glasses.

Whenever somebody notices him, they shout “Hey Noot” and pretend to throw him a pitch.

Nootbaar then pretends to hit a home run.

The commercial goes on, with people pretending to toss a pitch to the young outfielder and having him pretend to hit a home run.

It finally ends with Nootbaar doing his famous pepper grinder celebration, which was actually pioneered by backup catcher Andrew Knizner.

However, Nootbaar has taken the celebration to another level and even had the entire country of Japan performing the pepper grinder motion during the World Baseball Classic.

Nootbaar suited up for Team Japan and won a WBC title alongside Shohei Ohtani and Masataka Yoshida.

This is what makes Cardinals fans love him so much.

The ability to keep the clubhouse loose is something that may be overlooked at times, but Nootbaar has not only turned into the jokester for the Cardinals, but an international sensation.

And so, here is yet another reason for fans to fall in love with Nootbaar and what he brings to the table.
