One of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season has been the Sacramento Kings, with up-and-coming stars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis leading the way for the struggling franchise.
Although many questioned the trade to send Tyrese Haliburton to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for Sabonis last season, the trade has helped turn things around for the franchise resulting in the team snapping the longest playoff drought in the league.
Throughout the first four games of their first-round playoff series with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors, the Kings have given Stephen Curry and company all they can handle, but now this series will look much different in Game 5.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Fox has suffered a franchise in his left hand and has been listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game in Sacramento.
Kings guard De’Aaron Fox fractured the very tip of his left index finger in Game 4, but there’s still hope he will try and play Game 5 on Tuesday, sources tell ESPN. Fox would need to play with a protective covering on the finger. He will be listed as doubtful.

If the Kings lose Fox for Game 5, it could prove costly for Sacramento as the team tries to take a 3-2 series lead on their home floor in the Golden 1 Center.
Fox has been vital to the team’s success all season long, and that has carried over to the NBA playoffs, as he’s been arguably the best player in the series thus far.
With the series tied at two games apiece, Tuesday’s game will be as important as ever for the Kings, as they can retake control of this series and put tremendous pressure on the defending champs in Game 6 when the series shifts back to San Francisco giving the advantage back to Steve Kerr’s squad.
