On Monday, the news finally broke about the Green Bay Packers trading superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, with the two teams finally agreeing to the compensation each side would get in the deal.

With the Jets now having a four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion under center, New York will be must-see TV during the 2023 NFL season, and the league will almost certainly take that into account when deciding on the prime-time games award to the storied franchise.

This makes perfect sense considering the attention Rodgers will draw in the biggest market in the country.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jets could have as many as six prime-time games for the 2023 campaign.

Here are some fan reactions to the Jets now likely getting a considerable boost in prime-time games during the 2023 NFL season:

Along with almost certainly getting a lot of prime-time games next season, the Jets could be the team showcased on HBO’s Hard Knocks in the coming months following this blockbuster trade.

The Jets are one of four teams eligible to be on the popular HBO mini-series this year, with the other three being the New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders and Chicago Bears.

All four of these teams have some interesting storylines this NFL offseason, but none of them compare to the kind of attention the Jets will get and how many avid football fans will tune into the show to see what happens behind the scenes in Jets training camp.

It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold in New York.
