There’s nothing like than a pet party! Jennifer Garner, Nick Jonas and more stars consider their four-legged friends to be integral parts of their families, which is why they celebrate their birthdays with blowout bashes.
The Alias alum, who shares three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, has raised a coop of chickens in her backyard for many years. In July 2018, Garner even celebrated their “hatch day” with a homemade bug cake.
“It’s hard to believe a year has flown by since these ladies hatched. They grow up so quickly. 😢😢,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time.
The Once Upon a Farm founder also shared video footage of herself presenting the hens with their treat — after she sang “Happy Birthday” to the “dear chickens.”
Jonas, for his part, hosted a puppy party for German Shepherd Gino in August 2021, who was originally a gift from wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas two years earlier. (The married couple also are proud dog parents to Diana and Panda.)
The “Sucker” crooner, who welcomed daughter Malti Marie with the Citadel actress in January 2022, presented Gino with a custom cake made out of dog treats and his name written across the top in icing. Jonas also wrapped a new bone toy as an additional present.
Chopra Jonas initially presented her husband with a new puppy to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in November 2019.
“I had mentioned [getting a dog] two weeks prior to when she actually got the puppy. We were talking about this new house we just got and we were very excited to move in and everything else. And I said, ‘And now we can get a German Shepherd,’ and she thought I knew something about the surprise,” the Camp Rock star quipped during an appearance on The Late Late Show Starring James Corden the following December. “So she was like, ‘Maybe we will.’”
He continued at the time: “The problem is, there’s already some division in the family. She has a puppy named Diana. Once she and I got together, I sort of adopted the puppy, and she got me this one. We put both our dogs on Instagram, and Diana’s been on Instagram for about a year and a half and Gino [already] doubled her followers in a day. [Priyanka] wasn’t happy about it.”
The pair’s trio of canines have since found a groove, even becoming protectors of Malti.
“All my babies. Perfect Sunday,” the India native gushed via Instagram Story in August 2022, sharing a snap of Malti’s tummy time while all three dogs laid around the play mat.
Amanda Seyfried, for her part, also loves doting on her pooch, Finn. To commemorate his special day in September 2022, the Dropout star had a custom cake made of his face, which she shared footage of via TikTok.
“It’s a birthday boy,” the Mean Girls actress captioned her post, comparing the sweet treat to Finn himself.
