1 Stat Could Prove The Warriors Are Already Doomed

The Golden State Warriors have made it to the NBA Finals six times in the past eight years, winning four titles.

Most of the time, they did it as the best team in the league, record-wise, except last season.

The Warriors beat the odds by proving that they were still the team to beat, and they wanted to replicate that formula this season.

However, it now seems like their journey to another hypothetical ring will be the toughest yet, as they’ll need to go through unfamiliar territory and do something that has never been done in NBA history.

According to Legion Hoops, no team has ever won an NBA championship after losing its first two playoff games that season, so yeah, Steve Kerr’s team is facing a bit of an uphill battle.

Recently, Draymond Green claimed that it would be fun to conquer one of the few things they haven’t conquered, alluding to coming back from a 0-2 deficit for the first time since they’ve been in the league.

But there’s a different feel to this Warriors team compared to those from other years.

They’re older, and they lack the depth of old.

More than that, they just can’t seem to get stops on the road, and that’s a major concern because they won’t have homecourt advantage in any potential series.

We know better than to count them out after all they’ve accomplished in this league.

But this might as well be the one mountain they won’t be able to climb.
