Just because Dillon Brooks of the Memphis Grizzlies had a disappointing postseason doesn’t mean that another NBA team won’t invest in him.

The latest reporting states that Brooks doesn’t have much longer with the Grizzlies and will not be with the team when the new season tips off in the fall.

So, where will he land?

According to BetOnline.ag, via NBACentral, the Miami Heat are currently the betting favorites to land Brooks.

A lot has been made about Brooks’ performance over the last few weeks and the hot water he got himself into because of some public statements he made about LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

But no one should forget that the young man does have basketball talent.

He averaged 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.6 assists for the season.

He also showed himself to be a reliable defender too.

It is true that his season didn’t end in a great way and he created controversy for himself and the team, but he might still have a strong future in the league.

The Heat have been on the verge of making some changes for some time now.

They hardly did anything during the last offseason and wanted to see if they could have a good year with the roster they had.

They are currently in the midst of a surprisingly strong postseason run.

But when that is over, they might finally decide to add some new talent including Brooks.

Brooks would probably be a bit more selective about the things that he says to the press and would instead focus on his game more.

That might be best for him and whatever team he ends up with.
