The Los Angeles Lakers need to be at their best if they want to stand a chance to come back in this series.
That means that Anthony Davis is going to have to be way more consistent and aggressive than he was in Game 2.
As a matter of fact, NBA analyst Craig Carton believes he was the reason why the Lakers couldn’t get the job done in the second game of the series.

Carton called Davis out for not being aggressive enough and taking just 15 shots, citing that it means he doesn’t want it enough, and he’s giving the ball up instead of taking matters into his own hands.
Moreover, Carton cites that the most frustrating part about Davis’ game is that we’ve already seen him dominate when he’s at his best, so it’s not like he’s not able to play at that level.
Nikola Jokic outmatched him and dominated him in the first game of the series, but he was still way more aggressive and finished with 40 points and 10 rebounds, and that’s the kind of scoring this Lakers team may need from him.
Davis needs to take 20+ shots a night, especially with LeBron James looking tired down the stretch.
The Lakers wanted Davis to be their go-to guy and carry the torch with James aging, but that hasn’t been the case thus far.
Lakers fans will hope home cooking will get him back to his best ahead of Games 3 and 4, as there will be no more margin for error this time.
