The last time Antonio Brown was seen on a football field, he took off his pads and jersey and ran off the field mid-game.

While he is unlikely to ever play in the NFL again, it appears that Brown will start a venture in a new league.

According to Brown via Dov Kleiman, he will play in the Arena League for the Albany Empire on May 27th, when they take on the Fayetteville Mustangs.

The Arena League has undergone several iterations and changes throughout the years and is now on its third version.

At one time, Brown was seen as one of the best receivers in the NFL.

He could provide a lot of energy and star power to the AFL, provided he is still in great playing shape.

Teams in the AFL have only played five games this season, and the Empire currently has a 1-4 record.

The AFL is certainly a step back in Brown’s career, in terms of the quality of play.

While the XFL has afforded some opportunities for players to find their way back into the NFL, the AFL hasn’t been around long enough to know what will happen.

Brown burned several bridges in the NFL, and will likely not join another roster in the future.

Taking parts of your uniform off during a game will do that for you.

Will Brown be able to make an instant impact in the AFL, given his former status as an elite NFL receiver?
