Austin Ekeler was one of the most discussed players throughout the NFL offseason after requesting a trade from the Los Angeles Chargers.
It was recently reported that Ekeler and the Chargers agreed to a revised deal, ripe with $2 million in additional incentives.
After this was reported, Brandon Staley said that Ekeler will attend a mandatory minicamp on June 13th, per Adam Schefter.
Chargers’ HC Brandon Staley had said that he expected Austin Ekeler to attend the team’s mandatory minicamp, which begins June 13. Now Ekeler has a sweetened deal to bring along with him.

This is great news for all parties involved, especially for fans of the Chargers.
Ekeler has become a fan-favorite across the league, given his on-field performances.
He is also a staple of the fantasy football community, something that not many current players have embraced.
Ekeler will enter the 2023 season at the age of 28, which typically signals the beginning of a decline in running back production.
Last season, however, Ekeler didn’t show any signs of slowing down.
He totaled 915 rushing yards and 107 receptions, both were career highs for Ekeler.
With any luck, Ekeler can continue to defy father time, being a staple of the Chargers’ offense again this season.
His presence as a receiving back that can also rush efficiently makes him one of the most unique running backs in the NFL.
The Chargers made the playoffs in 2022 and will look to build upon that success.
However, they’ll have to continuously fight with the Kansas City Chiefs to get there, who are unfortunately in their division.
The Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos have also made significant strides during the offseason, making this divisional race even more difficult for the Chargers.
