Saturday night’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals came right down to the wire.
After St. Louis had jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, the Dodgers fought back and tied the game on J.D. Martinez’s three-run homer.
The Cardinals regained the lead on a three-run shot by Nolan Gorman, which proved to be the difference.
But the Dodgers chipped away in the ninth and made it 6-5.
On a 3-2 pitch, Giovanny Gallegos froze Mookie Betts to end the game, leaving a runner stranded at second base.
After the game, the Cardinals trolled the Dodgers on Twitter with a picture of Betts reacting to the final strike call and a caption that read: “Hang it in the Louvre.”

Of course, this will not make its way to Paris or be hung in the Louvre, but it was symbolic of how things are going for the Cardinals.
After starting off 10-24 and owning the worst record in the National League, the team got hot.
Now, they’ve gained five games in the NL Central and have climbed out of last place, at least for now.
But the game came right down to the wire.
The Dodgers had touched Ryan Helsley for two runs in the top of the ninth, and with a runner on second, all that stood between St. Louis and another victory was Betts.
The count ran full, but Gallegos managed to freeze Betts on a 3-2 pitch to secure the team’s 10th win over their last 13 games, securing at least a series split with Los Angeles.
