The NFC, at least in the eyes of many, is seen as the weaker of the NFL’s two conferences.
This mainly has to do with the elite quarterback play that has entered into the fold.
Players like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Justin Herbert, to name a few, have made instant impacts to their respective franchises.
The NFC, on the other hand, has some work to do in the quarterback department.
In a recent segment during Get Up on ESPN, Dan Orlovsky highlighted the top-five NFC quarterbacks with the most to prove in 2023.

1. Jordan Love
2. Justin Fields
3. Daniel Jones
4. Dak Prescott
5. Kyler Murray pic.twitter.com/DFsbXLx2l5— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) May 24, 2023
Orlovsky’s analysis started with Kyler Murray.
This is a “prove-it year” for Murray, as Orlovsky indicates.
He believes that Murray has some engagement issues and that he’s not fully invested in the Arizona Cardinals.
To Orlovsky, if Murray can show his off-field trust and engagement with the team, the Cardinals can feel more confident in their investment in him.
Daniel Jones was the third quarterback on Orlovsky’s list, fresh off of his massive contract extension.
Jones had a great season in 2022, a big reason for his contract extension.
Will he be able to continue that success into 2023?
Jordan Love was the number one quarterback on Orlovsky’s board.
He has big shoes to fill as the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback, one of the NFL’s most historic teams.
When discussing Love’s 2023 season, Orlovsky said, “You gotta go prove that you’re the right guy.”
Love has seen very limited minutes in the NFL, but the team has faith in him to be their quarterback moving forward.
