The Golden State Warriors had a chance to even things up late in the game vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.

Jordan Poole had a chance to cap off their comeback attempt with a three-pointer.

However, he may have rushed things and pulled up when he could’ve taken a couple of steps forward to get closer to the three-point line or even kick the ball back to Stephen Curry.

Poole has faced plenty of criticism for his decision-making, but his teammates and coaches have come to his defense.

That includes Draymond Green, who took some time on his podcast to explain why it was actually a good shot.

Green claimed that Poole was 6-for-10 from beyond the arc before that shot and that he and the rest of the team know that he can shoot the ball at a high clip, so everybody was fine with him taking that three-pointer.

Also, it would’ve been unfair to just put the blame on Poole for that loss.

Coach Steve Kerr had a couple of timeouts and could’ve used one of them to get a better look or try and put the ball in Curry’s or Klay Thompson’s hands.

The fact that he didn’t only speaks volumes of the confidence he has in Poole’s shot-making ability, once again proving that it wasn’t that bad of a shot.

Of course, things could’ve gone a lot differently if Poole hadn’t rushed to pull up.

But the Warriors will live and die by the three, and it’s paid off pretty well for them thus far.
