The NBA is full of players that try to squeeze every last drop out of their basketball career.

We have seen many veterans in their late 30s and early 40s still on NBA rosters.

One player that would like another shot in the NBA is eight-time All-Star Dwight Howard.

Howard spent this past season playing overseas in Taiwan.

Even though he is 37 years old, Howard still has hopes of returning to the NBA next season.

Howard said on FanDuel TV that he hopes to end his career in the NBA and win a championship.

At this point in his career, Howard is nothing more than a backup center.

But a few NBA teams could be in the market for one this offseason.

Howard had quite an impressive run in Taiwan this past season.

He averaged 23.2 points and 16.2 rebounds per game.

There seems to at least be a decent chance an NBA team will take a chance on the former three-time Defensive Player of the Year.

We last saw Howard in the NBA for the 2021-22 season.

He was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers and played 60 games with 27 of them as starts.

Howard is nothing more than a 20-minute-per-game player.

But that can have some value for an undersized team.

We have seen plenty of veterans take roles at the end of a team’s bench.

For instance, Udonis Haslem is doing that this year with the Miami Heat.

It would not be a surprise to see Howard back in the NBA at some point next season.
