Mike Brown had a tough task laid before him when he accepted the job of head coach of the Sacramento Kings.
The Kings hadn’t made the playoffs in years, nearly two decades, and the fanbase was used to season after season of losses.
But Brown has done something remarkable in Sacramento and his Kings are now the third team in the West and about to storm into the playoffs.
Because of this, Brown has been named the National Basketball Coaches Association’s Coach of the Year, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Brown receiving this is really no surprise.
In fact, all season long people have said that Brown deserves this and many other accolades for the hard work he has put into the team and the results he has found.

Some people said that he has earned more than just Coach of the Year – he has also earned Coach of the Decade.

The Kings earned a 48-34 record with Brown leading the team.
That puts them above other teams such as the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, and others.
Brown has taken the young roster, played to their strengths, and improved every single facet of the franchise.
Now everyone is wondering how far the Kings will go in the playoffs.
If they are able to make an actual postseason run, Brown’s job with the Kings will be celebrated even more.
He’s already had a wonderful regular season, will he have a wonderful postseason too?
