The Golden State Warriors are alive and well and they showed it on Wednesday night.

The team took down the Sacramento Kings, 123-116, and now hold a 3-2 lead in the opening round of the playoffs.

Just a few weeks ago, numerous people were counting the Warriors out, even though they are the league’s defending champions.

But they have found a massive second wind and are dominating yet again.

NBA History on Twitter has highlighted the fact that the Warriors have had 28 straight playoff series with a road win.

There is only one other team with a streak of 20+ straight series with a road win: the Miami Heat.

Wednesday night’s game was on the road but that didn’t stop the Warriors from cleaning up and heading back to the Bay Area with a huge victory.

Fans were ecstatic to see this historic fact and the major triumph against the Kings.

Many Warriors fans believe their team will dominate in Game 6 and that this series will be over by the weekend.

Others are saying that this statistic officially puts to rest the idea that the Warriors cannot win on the road.

Yes, they had a lot of trouble with road victories during the regular season but perhaps they are putting that behind them.

One fan commented how this shows that the Warriors are true champions because “champions know how to win no matter where they are.”

“Warriors are back, baby,” another person said, showing confidence that this series is almost over and that Golden State is going further in the postseason.

Despite what some fans think, this series is definitely not over just yet.

The Warriors need one more win.

Although history suggests they could get it at home on Friday, there is also a chance the Kings could score success too.

That would mean the Warriors would need to steal away yet another road win.
