The 2023 NFL Draft is less than ten days away, so it’s only natural we start seeing multiple mocks and big boards shifting left and right over the next couple of days.
Nothing seems to be set in stone right now, not even Bryce Young’s case as the consensus first-overall pick by the Carolina Panthers.
However, most fans and insiders expect this to be a QB-heavy first-round, with the first four selections being signal-callers.
Shockingly, ESPN’s Adam Schefter doesn’t see that happening right now, and he recently claimed that we might not see another QB taken in the first round until the fourth pick.
Update: A QB isn’t expected to be drafted after the 1st overall pick until at least the 4th pick, per @AdamSchefter
“We’ve heard quarterbacks go 1, 2, 3, 4.. in this Draft, that’s not going to happen, I believe.”

That’s why the Indianapolis Colts haven’t moved up to try and land their next QB, per Schefter.
Moreover, he’s not even sure whether C.J. Stroud will be the second QB off the board, claiming that both Will Levis and Anthony Richardson have a legit shot at going to Indy.
For months, the debate has been centered mostly between Young and Stroud, with some even predicting the Buckeye standout to be the first pick, mostly due to the size and weight concerns around Young.
But now, most predict that Frank Reich will kick off the new era in Carolina with the Alabama Crimson Tide superstar under center, while the jury is still out on the remainder of the prospects.
Some fans, however, weren’t so sure about that:

Wording is important. This isn’t a lie, but it isn’t a fact either.

The Texans beginning the tank for Caleb Williams a year early, this race may be tighter than the battle for Wemby

Will Anderson Jr. and Jalen Carter figure to be the next two guys taken off the board, although it would be kind of shocking to see the Houston Texans passing on the chance to get a new franchise QB unless they know they can get one by trading down in the first round.
