The Miami Heat needed a hero, and Jimmy Butler made sure to show up.

They trailed the Milwaukee Bucks by as many as 15 points at some point in the game, but Jimmy Buckets simply wasn’t going to be denied.

He scored 24 in the first half and was even more impressive in the second, scoring a franchise-record 56 to cap off an epic comeback win.

Of course, the fans online had plenty to say about Butler’s outstanding performance, especially after finding out that it was the fourth-highest-scoring game in NBA playoff history.

Only Donovan Mitchell (57), Elgin Baylor (61), and Michael Jordan (63) scored more points in a single playoff game, and that’s some elite company, that’s for sure.

Butler has made it public and known that he doesn’t care about the regular season, citing that he likes his team’s chances in a seven-game series against every single rival in the league, and he’s putting his money where his mouth is.

Jimmy led the Heat to the NBA Finals three seasons ago, but the team hasn’t been able to replicate that success ever since.

Now, they’ll have to do it without their second-best scorer, as Tyler Herro will be out for 4-6 weeks after suffering a broken hand in Game 1 of the series.

Needless to say, that’s going to be easier said than done, especially considering that the Boston Celtics will most likely be next ahead for them.

But Jimmy Butler is a one-man show right now, and he’s been the best player in the league in the playoffs thus far.
