The New York Knicks had a terrific game on Friday night, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers.
This win meant taking a 2-1 lead in the series after blowing out the Cavs.
Having a big advantage over their rivals, Tom Thibodeau decided to sub Derrick Rose in, and fans welcomed him with a big ovation.

Of course, he’s not the same player he used to be on the Chicago Bulls, but Rose remains a competitive asset for the Knicks.
The team has a good group of young guards led by Jalen Brunson and Immanuel Quickley, but Rose’s presence is important for them too.
He was welcomed with a lot of love from fans inside and outside the arena.
This isn’t the first time Rose was celebrated in this way by Knicks fans.
Back in February, the crowd asked Tom Thibodeau to give Rose some minutes of action, and when he entered the game, everybody cheered.

The former MVP only recorded one assist in two minutes of play.
The Knicks held the Cavaliers under 80 points in this 99-79 win.
They’re looking really dangerous for the rest of the series and a win in Game 4 would put them in a great position.
The Cavaliers will try to prevent that, but after three games, the Knicks look very strong.
Rose could see some action in the future if his team blows out the Cavaliers or any potential future rivals.
He remains a beloved player in the league after becoming a solid role player.
