The Los Angeles Lakers managed to live another day after pulling off an epic comeback vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But now, they’ll have to go against the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
That’s not exactly the kind of reward one would want after such a tumultuous season, but the Lakers still beat the odds and reached the postseason after starting off the year with two wins in 12 games.
However, an unnamed NBA coach told The Athletic that this will most likely be the end of the road for Darvin Ham’s team this season.
An anonymous coach is picking the Grizzlies to beat the Lakers in 5 games:
“The Grizzlies have too much firepower for the Lakers. Ja Morant, I don’t know if there’s anyone on that Lakers team that can guard him. He’s unguardable. And this is their time.”

Per the coach, the Lakers don’t have anyone on their roster that could hold their own against Ja Morant.
He claimed that the Grizzlies just have too much firepower and that they’ll beat the Lakers in five games.
Needless to say, those comments didn’t sit well with Lakers fans, but other fans on Twitter actually agreed with his assessment.

Truth be told, the logical thing would be that the Grizzlies knock the Lakers out; they were the second seed for a reason.
But the Lakers were the second-best team in the league since the All-Star break, and they have two future first-ballot Hall of Famers leading the way, so this shouldn’t be a walk in the park for Memphis, either.
Right now, it seems like this series is up for grabs, so even though we cannot say who’ll end on top, we can agree that it’ll go beyond five games.
