The Detroit Pistons have not been competitive in some time.
The last time they made the playoffs was in 2018-19 when they got swept in the first round.
Detroit has not made it out of the first round since the 2007-08 season.
It is clear there need to be major changes made to this organization, and it starts with a new head coach.
Last season, Dwane Casey was the head coach and he led the Pistons to the worst record in the NBA at 17-65.
It appears that the Pistons are looking at assistant coaches around the Association to fill their void.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons will interview Brooklyn Nets assistant Brian Keefe for their head coaching position.
Detroit has received permission to interview Brooklyn assistant Brian Keefe for franchise’s head coaching job, sources tell ESPN. Keefe worked with Pistons GM Troy Weaver on OKC’s coaching staff for several years. Keefe’s also been an assistant with Knicks and Lakers.

You can assume the Pistons will go through a long process before deciding on a coach.
Keefe seems to be the first of many coaches they should interview.
Many Pistons fans are not thrilled to see Keefe getting an interview.
But, that is because most of them do not know who he is.
Nah we good

It seems like most fans want to hire a coach that has head coaching experience.
The name at the top of most peoples’ lists is former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka.
If anyone other than ime udoka is announced they will have failed the people of detroit! He’s the only person they should have interviewed

But some people seem to believe that Keefe might be the right man for the job.
He just needs a chance to show what he can do.
Good for coach Keefe. With his own staff, less meddling from the FO, and some creative freedom, he could really help Detroit turn it around.

It will be interesting to follow the Pistons’ head coaching search.
Their next head coach is one they hope can stick around for many years.
