The Golden State Warriors are fighting hard to put their troubled regular season behind them and prove to NBA fans why they are one of the most beloved franchises around.
But the Sacramento Kings are going to make that difficult.
The Kings beat the Warriors on Saturday’s Game 1 of the playoffs.
It was a close loss of 126-123, but the Warriors still walked away with a troubling L.
Because of the loss, fans and analysts are talking about Golden State and their team leader, Stephen Curry.
Skip Bayless talked about Curry on Monday morning and he challenged a deeply-held belief about him.
“I think he gets too much acclaim for being clutch,” Bayless said.

This comment from Bayless set the internet ablaze and fans of the nine-time All-Star and four-time champ came out to defend him.
Many people called out Bayless for seemingly forgetting that Curry was crucial to the team in the last period.
“Curry had 13 in the 4th and was the only reason it was close lmao,” one fan said.

For years now, Curry has been called one of the most clutch players to ever play in the Association.
There are many instances of him sinking the game-winning bucket for his Warriors.
It is true that Curry wasn’t able to secure a win for his team on Saturday, but does that really change everything else Curry has done before?
