After a long standoff between the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets, the blockbuster trade to send superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the Big Apple has finally come to fruition.

With the 2023 NFL Draft only a few days away, the consensus was that Rodgers could get traded this week due to the draft compensation that would be involved in the trade.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, major compensation was involved in this blockbuster deal, which will impact Thursday’s draft with picks being traded and swapped.

Here are some fan reactions to the Jets finally acquiring Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Packers:

Now that this deal is done and both teams can go their separate ways, Rodgers gets to start from scratch in New York with a team that could be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender and Green Bay will finally see what they have in quarterback Jordan Love.

With the four-time NFL MVP under center, the Jets may have all the right pieces to do something special this season as long as Rodgers can continue playing at a high level.

Although the Jets get a considerable boost with the addition of Rodgers, the AFC East is one of the toughest divisions in the league right now, led by the title-contending Buffalo Bills, the upstart Miami Dolphins and the always-dangerous New England Patriots.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out in New York, as Rodgers could be the missing piece to the championship puzzle or an absolute disaster if the superstar turns out to be nothing more than an aging diva past his prime.
