On Thursday morning, it was reported that Gabe Vincent of the Miami Heat would miss Game 5 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics due to an ankle injury.
Vincent has averaged more than 13 points a game during the playoffs and has been very critical to the strong 3-1 lead the Heat currently have over the Celtics.
As noted by Five Reasons Sports, via NBACentral, the Heat are 18-5 with Vincent as a playoff starter.
In other words, this could be a very bad break for the Heat.

NBA fans hopped online to express their opinions about this tough news for Miami.
Some people weren’t worried at all.
They think that the Heat will be able to tap into their “next man up” mentality and that they could still close out the series on Thursday night.

Some people are so worried that they think the Celtics now have an even bigger shot at overcoming a painful and historic 0-3 deficit.

And then there are some who believe that other players will fill the void left by Vincent and assure another Heat victory.
“This has Duncan Robinson legacy game written all over it,” one fan said.

Vincent has scored double-digits multiple times during this series against the Celtics.
It’s clear that losing him will not help the Heat.
However, they might still be able to earn their ticket to the NBA Finals with Vincent on the bench.
They have repeatedly shown that the entire team is driven and capable of winning.
Will they show that again on Thursday night?
