The St. Louis Cardinals have a special young talent in Jordan Walker.
The 20-year-old had a hot spring training and forced his way onto the team’s Opening Day roster.
Since then, he’s made some history.
He has started off his MLB career by getting a hit in each of his first 12 games, which tied Eddie Murphy‘s record for players at the age of 20 or younger.
Walker’s hot bat has helped out the Cardinals tremendously to start the season.
His hot start has analysts like former MLB star Mark DeRosa raving.
On MLB Central, DeRosa, who briefly played for the Cardinals, talked about Walker’s approach and what he’s seeing that he likes so far.
“It just seems like he’s got such an advanced approach at the dish.”

DeRosa recalled getting a chance to talk to Walker last year and discuss his pregame routine.
His pregame routine has clearly helped him out.
DeRosa likes what he’s seeing so far and says that Walker seems to have a very advanced approach when in the batter’s box, citing his ability to cover the plate and handle off-speed pitches.
He also said he liked how the Cardinals have not rushed him into the top of the order and instead are letting him develop.
Walker has been hitting in the lower part of the order and starting in right field for St. Louis.
He picked up his first big-league hit on Opening Day and has not looked back since.
The 20-year-old has clearly impressed DeRosa and also impressing the Cardinals and their fans as he shows what he can do with the bat.
