The Jacksonville Jaguars experienced tremendous growth in 2022, making the playoffs after a catastrophic 2021 campaign.

They will undoubtedly have playoff aspirations in mind again but will be without an impactful contributor to begin the year.

According to John Shipley, via Ian Rapoport, Cam Robinson has been suspended and will miss the start of the season.

As both of these insiders indicate, Robinson has violated the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

The amount of games that he will miss is unknown at this time, but his presence will be severely missed on the offensive line.

With Robinson on the line, Trevor Lawrence was able to get into a much better groove in his sophomore campaign, leading to greater offensive success.

While this news is certainly not ideal, there is one positive aspect to the timing.

Being that this news came on the morning of the NFL Draft, the Jaguars may be able to pivot, taking an offensive lineman with their first-round pick.

However, replacing a player of Robinson’s caliber will not be an easy task.

After being selected in the second round of the 2017 draft, Robinson has made his presence felt on the Jaguars.

For a team that is coming off an exceptional season, this is a definite blow to their offense.

How will Lawrence and the rest of the offense respond, while missing Robinson’s impact on the line?

While we wait to see the on-field product for the Jaguars, the good news is that they have training camp and the preseason to figure things out.
