Jalen Carter has been one of the highest-rated defenders throughout the pre-draft process.

During his time at the University of Georgia, Carter wowed scouts with his impressive size and speed, and ability to get to the quarterback.

Ahead of the draft, Carter publicly declared that the Philadelphia Eagles have promised to take him with the No. 10 pick if he’s available, per Pro Football Talk.

The Eagles find themselves in a unique draft position, especially considering their Super Bowl appearance.

After they traded with the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles have the No. 10 and No. 30 picks in the first round.

Although the Eagles had one of the best defenses in the league last year, they can always get better.

If Carter does fall to 10, not only will they receive a top prospect, but they will be able to build off an already impressive unit.

Will he make it that far?

In a recent article by Mike Florio on Pro Football Talk, he highlights that the Seattle Seahawks are still in-line to take Carter.

Sportsbooks agree as the Seahawks are the betting favorites to land him, with the No. 5 pick in the draft.

Wherever Carter lands, many believe that he will be able to make an instant impact on the defensive side of the ball, at least due to his on-field efforts.

Some concerns have been raised about his character, and his ability to keep his nose clean off the field.

Will joining an NFL roster help Carter grow up, now that he will be in the big leagues?
