We only have four teams left in contention for the NBA championship, but that doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of talent in the league right now.
That’s why Jay Williams took some time to choose the top five players left in the NBA playoffs, and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest:

LeBron James sits at No. 5 for Williams, which should come as no surprise, even if he hasn’t been as aggressive as per usual in the playoffs this year.
Jayson Tatum is the fourth-best player left in contention, per Williams, and that’s after he had one of the greatest performances in NBA playoffs history by scoring a record 51 points in Game 7.
Anthony Davis enters the scene at No. 3, which is also quite valid.
While his offensive game hasn’t exactly been consistent throughout the playoffs, he’s been stellar on the defensive end of the floor.
Jimmy Butler sits at No. 2.
He proved — again — that he saves the best for the playoffs, helping his team knock down the team with the best record in the league in the first round and then capping it off with another outstanding series vs. the New York Knicks.
Last, but not least, at No. 1, Williams chose Nikola Jokic, which shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Despite not being considered the best player on Earth, Jokic has finally gotten the praise and recognition he deserves from some of his current and former colleagues.
He’s been a superstar throughout the season and the playoffs, proving that the Denver Nuggets were no fluke.
